Smokey and the Bandit
The General Lee had nothing on “Bandit One!” Smokey and the Bandit was one of my favorite movies as a kid growing up and I loved this song! I thought that this was a pretty good tribute to the movie and the song. Between movies like this and the Duke boys it was no wonder that I had my CB base station in the house and my own handle reaching out to anyone that would talk to me. Honeybucket, Dreadnaoght, and the like were my childhood friends. Wether I was talking to a “Chicken Choker,” and there were a lot where we lived, or listening to “Lot Lizards” at the truck stop, it always proved to be a lot of fun.
I’m sure that many people would say that this was inappropriate for a lad my age, but its all about how you use the technology. I had good parents and good upbringing and although there was all kinds of trouble to get into I made some invaluable friends that really paid off in the end. And when I began driving folks where just a “breaker, breaker…” away if I needed help.
So if Life is a Highway, just put the peddle to the medal and Keep it Between the Lines!
